The Registration "Adult Futsal League (old)" is not currently available.

Adult Futsal League

The Adult Futsal league occurs from January to March.  All games are played indoors on turf fields at either Sanford Power or the Fore Seasons Dome.

Each team plays one match per week on either Sunday or Wednesday night.

Three division formats are routinely offered:

1. Competitive: This division is intended for teams who wish to play in a more competitive atmosphere, where most players have experience in club, high school, collegiate, or even professional soccer programs.

2. Coed/Recreational: This division is intended for teams who wish to play in a more casual and fun atmosphere. Each team in the division should have at least two female players per roster, and at least one female player on the field at all times during the games.

3. Coed 40+ Division:  This division is intended for players 40 years of age or older who wish to only play against competition near their own age level.

Games are played under the following format:

  • Game Length - 50 minutes (two 25 minute halves)
  • 5 vs 5  (4 field players + GK)
  • Magic FC club Futsal rules in effect (see document below)

2023 Season

This season there will be a single division offered, Coed/Rec.

If registration allows for multiple divisions to be formed, we can look at potentially splitting into A/B brackets within the coed league, or possibly splitting off a group of teams into a competitive division.

All adult league games are expected to be played at the Fore Seasons Dome this year.

Season Details:

  • Start Date: January 8th
  • End Date: March 26th
  • Each team plays 10 games
  • Game Times: Between 7:00 and 10:00 PM
  • Roster Size: 8 player minimum
  • Cost: $80 per player
  • Deadline to register teams is Friday, December 30th.  No additional teams will be added to the league after this date.

League Format:

This season we have 12 teams, and will be doing a different format than usual.

For the first half of the season, teams have been split into two pools of 6.  Each team will play a round-robin against the other teams in their pool.

At the end of the round-robin:

  • The top 3 teams in each pool will advance to the "World Cup" division for the 2nd half of the season.
  • The bottom 3 teams in each pool will advance to the "Gold Cup" division for the 2nd half of the season.

After the mid-season break in February, teams will play a second round-robin within the "World Cup" or "Gold Cup" division.  All points will reset to 0, and the team at the top of the table after the second round robin will be declared the champion of the division.

Match Days (Sunday):

January - 8, 15, 22, 29
February - 5, 26  (Mid season break over Superbowl Sunday and Presidents Day weekend)
March - 5, 12, 19, 26

We will make every effort to fully staff each game with a  referee. However, due to the ongoing referee shortage in Bismarck/Mandan some games may need to be self-officiated if a referee cannot be recruited that weekend.

Free Agent Players

Players wanting to participate in league but who do not currently have a team are encouraged to register individually.

League organizers will make every effort to place you on a team in the division of your choice, however please keep in mind that when registering individually we cannot guarantee entry, as there are sometimes constraints that will prevent placement on other rosters.
